Squidoo Step by Step
Here's a step-by-step guide on how to get started on Squidoo: Step 1: List down 5 Things that you're really, really interested in -- the more specific, the better. Don't think too hard. Just list down things that first come to mind. Step 2: Do a quick search on Squidoo to see if your favorite topics are already being covered. If they're already being covered widely, consider a few other topics or make it more specific. If you're not too concerned about competition, then feel free to skip this step. Looking to make money? Consider Google Analytics, Keyword Research, New, Hot topics with affiliate programs,... Step 3: Concentrate on one topic and start creating your own lens. Think of what type of lens you wish to create and follow the prompts. You'll be guided along the way! I consider the name very important it will become a part of the url (for example: http://www.squidoo.com/self-help-blogs) so choose wisely. Step 4: Add content! Here's where you can start sharing what you know. Be sure to cover the basic who, what, why, how, etc, Step 5: Preview your lens and Publish it. Don't worry about it being perfect right away 1) Because it will never be perfect and 2) Sorry but no one will be finding your lens for awhile anyway Step 6: Start promoting your lens by submitting your page to different social websites. Squidoo has some built-in features, like submitting to StumbleUpon, Digg, and Twitter. But you'll need to do some more work to attract more visitors to your lens. Step 7: Promote to your heart's content. Add to your signature line. Blog about it. Send the link to your friends and family. Step 8: Befriend top lensmasters and others with similar interests as you. Rate, leave comments, favorite, lensroll, and more top lenses in your niche Step 9: Edit your lens. Proof your lens and even get others to look at it as well. Make sure to edit the title modules and add some pictures. Add some affiliate links or others ways of making money.Step 10: Rinse, then repeat. ;-) What You'll Need:1) A valid email account2) A Squidoo account (you'll be signed in to one, once you start making lenses)3) A Paypal account (unless you donate all of your earnings to charity)
