Forgot about SquidDirectory Group so now I am adding to Squid Directory, Lensroll, and Squid Point all at the same time. 2 posts at SquidU. Read some great tips from Joan at Squidoo Marketing on Ning. Published my new lens Motivational Movies which was just split up from my Self Help DVD lens. Looking at some affiliate programs and products that I would want to promote. If you don't know most products have affiliate programs where you can signup and if you make a sale you make money!!

Great news: Made an affiliate sale = $35.98 on my Self Help DVD Lens at least I am pretty sure it was from there -- actually not positive because I do not see a click out from any of my different websites?
Made 2 posts to SquidU
Tip: Squidpoint and Lensroll are very similar so I have been submitting the same 2 lenses to them at the same time.
My new lens is now ranked 1,464 in its 3rd day.
Made another decision: I have decided to split up some of my lenses into more specific and targeted lenses. For example, I am going to make a few lenses out of my Self Help DVD lens. I have given other people advice to be very focused with their lenses (just taking my own advice).

Signed up for Lensroll and submitting lenses. Twittered about this lens. Made 2 posts at SquidU Forum. Lensrolled some helpful How to Squidoo lenses to the $50 a day with Squidoo lens Looking for ideas on how to improve this lens?? It has jumped to 43rd in Squidoo Tips and 2,254 in its 2nd day. I am amazed. Will this help get me closer to my $50 a day goal? Confused by Pepperjam so I may look at working some other affiliate programs that I have signed up with over the years (mostly with no success).

Definitely have the feeling of what to do next on my $50 a day challenge. When confused I usually do not get much done and today has been no exception. Looking at other websites on how to make money on Squidoo. Checked in at Squidpoint and submitted a couple more of my lenses. Checked in at Beginners Marketing Class, and checked in at SquidU. I have noticed SquidU has high rankings and a fair amount of traffic back to my lenses so starting today I am going to make a couple of posts a day at SquidU.

Here is a step by step guide on how to get started on Squidoo: Step 1: List down 5 things that you sre really, really interested in the more specific, the better. Do not think too hard or try to think of which ways you will make the most money. Just list down things that first come to mind. Step 2: Do a quick search on Squidoo to see if your favorite topics are already being covered. If they are already being covered widely, consider a few other topics or make it more specific. If you are not too concerned about competition, then feel free to skip this step. Step 3: Concentrate on one topic and start creating your lens. Think of what type of lens you wish to create and follow the prompts. You will be guided along the way! I just decided some how some way I am going to be making $50 or more per day with Squidoo by Dec 31st. How about you? It is now Nov 2008, and I have had Squidoo lenses (individual Squidoo web pages) for a little over a year now. Lenses with information I enjoy without much attention to how to make money for myself or my charities. I do make a little bit but not even enough for a coffee a day (even a no frills cheap brand). Because Squidoo is very search engine friendly it can have many other purposes besides making money but this thread is reserved for those that want to make cold hard cash for themselves or their charity. The main ways to make money with Squidoo are 1. Revenue share with Google and Glam ads on your Squidoo lens 2. Revenue share Amazon, eBay auctions, Orbitz, Netflix, Cafepress, and more. 3. Affiliate sales 4. Network marketing products 5. Selling your own products 6. Let's get creative... I will help with how to put a lens together, explaining modules (different parts of a Squidoo lens/website), and how to generate traffic. How can you help? This book is informative, how-to, to the point, and basically a must have for your library (I own the book and the audio book) -- it is a paradigm changer. Tim Ferriss tells you what to eliminate and how to go about eliminating those useless things our lives.

The 4 Hour Workweek is full of great ideas on how to automate your business and your life. The tools and tricks he gives you alone are well worth the cost of the audio book.

Key steps for building yourself as an expert, selling a product, or just someone to respect for answers to their question at an online network or forum.

First of all, pick two or three forums or networking sites that you genuinely want to spend time participating in and adding commentary.

Steps to follow when you join a forum or networking site:

1. Set up a readable, attractive, eye catching, profile page with your photo
2. Let people know who you are, your name, your likes and dislikes. Let them know you are a real, live, and caring person.
3. Show up and be counted on to contribute consistently in your area of knowledge. Be an active member in certain groups just jumping from group to group (or network) will not build credibility
4. Set up a signature line to go with your posts to mention website and/or blog
5. Regarding longevity and number of posts people do check how long you have been there and how many posts you make
6. Reach out to those with similar interests and start making friends
7. Avoid controversy early on. It is ok and even advisable later to stir things up a little bit. Just being a fly on the wall saying great post to everyone does not work either.
8. When making new contacts concentrate on building the relationship and helping them. Do not start out a relationship with a blatant ad because it will not go anywhere so do not bother.
9. Go back to step 3. Show up and be counted on to contribute consistently in your area of knowledge and you will gain a following

Forum marketing can be very beneficial and just like in person your first impression is very important so make it a good one. If after awhile you find you are just not fitting in be sure to move on. Do not waste more time hanging out with the wrong group.

The plan is to spend 30 minutes to two hours a week for at least a month and then evaluate and see where it is going. Happy Networking.

Jack Canfield is the author to some great books including "The Aladdin Factor", "Chicken Soup for the Soul - Series", but "Success Principles" to me is his best work yet. He also includes an excellent reading list of other books to add to your library.
